March 9, 2015

Hurray, Hurray, February is gone and hopefully all the snow and ice as well.

Now, let’s look to March and better weather. I know some of you are already suffering from cabin fever and the recent warm sunny weather helped sooth your desire to get out and about. Our membership meeting this month will be held at the Bay Breeze Restaurant on Hwy. 25 North in Hendersonville, at 6:00 PM. Our guest speaker will be Carson Carlton of City Tire Service discussing some new equipment and his capabilities of straightening Steel and Aluminum wheels. I understand one of our members has already experienced some of Carson’s work with this equipment.

Our birthday bash (mother nature did the bashing) will take place at this meeting. I have invited some of our previous members and old friends to join us for the festivities so make your plans now to come out and enjoy birthday cake and reunite with old friends. Thanks to Chip Boyd we will have some photos of the early days and up to now continually running on the screen during the meeting. I have some trivia questions about our history, along with prizes and special surprises for all the ladies attending.

I want to thank everyone for their understanding and response to my request for email addresses, fax number or other ways for us to keep you informed as to the clubs activities. I believe we can communicate with everyone now either by email or fax. If you haven’t responded yet please do so asap so you don’t miss out on anything your club is doing.

March 28th we have a joint junk yard tour scheduled with the LD Chapter. We will meet them at Vick’s Classic Auto Parts & Cars in Chesnee, SC at 9:00 AM. Having taken in all the opportunities there, we will head for the Bantum Chef, only a couple miles away for lunch. After lunch we will drive to Forest City stopping at Bennett’s Museum for a pit stop then on to Tim Hudson’s Used Cars & Parts for another round of junk yarding.

I have included our schedule for March and April for your review and consideration. I have attached also the list of our business sponsors please patronize them when in need of their services and thank them for their support.

I hope to see you on the road soon.

Respectfully,

Hulon
